Introduction to Main Screen and Controls
At-Bat Tab

This tab controls the pitching part of an at bat. Record the pitches as they occur.

Baserunner Options

The Baserunner options will automatically show while there is at least one runner on during an at bat. Note: the highlighted row of buttons in the image is not shown when the bases are empty.


Clicking the red Runners button will access the On Base tab to assign actions that take place before the ball is put in play (such as a stolen base or caught stealing).

Each runner on base will be displayed with a list of available pre-play actions.


Once an action is selected, any additional selections required will be displayed.

Once you've put the ball in play from the At Bat tab, you will be advanced to this tab to record the scoring decision for the batter. Click on an outcome to complete the required fields for that scoring decision.

Once a scoring decision is selected, you will be presented with additional selections and options available for that specific decision.


Any decision resulting in the batter being putout must have the Out sequence set.

Base Runners Tab

When runners reach or are on base, the Base Runners tab will be displayed next. Record whether each runner stayed, advanced or was put out on the base paths.

After you have set all options for a play, the play-by-play narrative for that play will be displayed on the Confirm Play Tab.


You must click Enter to confirm every play in order for any action to be recorded.


Use the back button to return to the previous tab (either base runners or scoring decision) if you need to make changes.

Recording pitches during an At Bat

Record a pitch in the at-bat using the buttons in the At-Bat tab.


To record a pitch using touch or mouse, click on the type of pitch and then click 'Enter Pitch'. (When using touch or mouse, you must click 'Enter Pitch' to record the action).


To record a pitch using the keyboard, press the key associated with the pitch, shown as underlined. Pitches recorded by keyboard will be recorded as soon as the key is released.

When a ball is put in play by the batter, click the In Play button to count the pitch in the pitcher's pitch count and advance to the Scoring Decision tab

You can remove the most recent pitch by clicking on the blue 'Undo Last Pitch' button

Each pitch in the at-bat will be recorded in the Pitch table. Click on the red X next to a pitch to remove that pitch.

Use the 'Reset AtBat' button if you need to remove all pitches and start over.

Recording strikeouts, walks and HBP

When you enter a third strike or a fourth ball, you will automatically be advanced to the Scoring Decision screen and the appropriate action will be pre-selected

Click on HBP for a hit batter. The screen will automatically credit a ball to the pitcher and advance to the Scoring Decision tab with hit by pitch pre-selected.

To record the scoring decision for a batter, click the 'In Play' button. This will automatically advance you to the In Play tab.

Select the scoring decision for the ball in play.


Once you select a scoring decision, you will be presented with options for that specific outcome.

If you need to go back to the At Bat tab, use the Undo Pitch button to remove the In Play pitch and return to pitch entry.

Select the appropriate hit from the Scoring Decision tab

To change the selected scoring decision, click either the light blue or red Change button.


Hit location is an optional field as are the additional presented options.

Set the hit location by click on the black button.

Click the location on the field where the ball was hit to.


When a location is selected, it will be displayed in the Location menu at the bottom. You can also set a location by choosing a selection from this menu.


If you are using keyboard for input, the hot key for each hit location is shown as a subscript to each location's short code.

Advancing Runners

For any play in which runners are on base or the batter reaches a base, you will be taken to the Base Runners screen.


Advance the runner to the appropriate base (on hits, this will be selected for you unless the runner advanced an extra base) and click enter.

Once you have finished entering the scoring decision, you will be presented with the Play-By-Play narrative and asked to confirm the play.


You must confirm the play by clicking Enter to record the decision and advance to the next batter.

Click on In Play to record the ball in play.

Select the type of out.

Click on Set Out Sequence to record the fielders who earned assists and the putout.


For plays that do not award assists (such as fly, line and pop outs), you will only be able to select one fielder.

Click on each fielder in the sequence. The final fielder in the sequence will be credited with the putout.

Ending an inning

Whenever the third out of an inning is made, you will automatically be brought to the Inning Summary page.


To advance to the next inning, click on 'Begin Next Inning'.

The game flow will automatically advance and you will be shown the At bat screen for the batter leading off the next inning.

When a game reaches its end (such as at the end of the final half inning or when a walkoff run is scored), the end of game summary screen will automatically be displayed

Click the Finish Game button to bring up the Wrap Game screen

Game Status, End Time and Game Duration will automatically update. Update them as necessary

Select the pitchers of record (win, loss, save if applicable) and set their season records/total.


Note: pitchers of record are not automatically determined. Starters are selected by default.

Update attendance and team records

Press save to finalize the game

Once saved, you can return to the Wrap Game screen to make changes using the Edit Summary button.
